I have had Tetraplegic since rugby injury in December 1983. One of the main problems I experienced from this injury was that I used to suffer frequent bladder infections which kept me in bed for a week or more.
Prior to the implantation, I had an indwelling catheter which frequently blocked during the night and so had to call for help to change it. However, having implanted the Finetech Brindley Bladder Control System, I can empty my bladder when and where I want, the number of bladder infections that I have had since I implanted this device can be counted on the fingers of one hand and it has also made bowel control a more manageable and quicker process.
At present the Finetech Brindley Bladder Control System seems one of the most effective devices to assist bladder management and one that has brought me peace of mind and good health for almost 25 years and I hope will continue to do so for several more years to come.
