Finetech Medical is proud to announce that they are to be part of one of the projects approved in the Seventh EU Framework programme FP7.
After months of negotiations with the European Commission - CORDIS, on 1st June 2010, the NEUwalk project was launched.
The nearly €9M part funded NEUwalk project is made up of 9 participating companies and organisations across 6 EU countries.
NEUwalk will combine innovative neuro-technologies to create a brain spinal neuro-prosthetic interface system to restore voluntary motor functions in individuals with a severe spinal cord injury (SCI) and to establish a more efficient, less invasive and safer strategy to alleviate Parkinson's disease (PD) syndromes.
With decades of experience in the medical devices field with the Bladder Control System, STIMuSTEP® and not forgetting STIMuGRIP®, which was developed and underwent its initial clinical trials in the 6th Framework programme-Healthy Aims (FP6). All these triumphs have helped Finetech in being selected for this fantastic and innovative project opportunity.
